Glaciers are melting faster than ever. As the planet gets hotter, our frozen world is shrinking, making the water cycle more unpredictable.
Moreover, for billions of people, meltwater flows are changing, causing floods, droughts, landslides and sea level rise. Countless communities and ecosystems are at risk of devastation. As we work together to mitigate and adapt to climate change, glacier preservation is a top priority. We must reduce greenhouse gas emissions to slow down glacial retreat and manage meltwater more sustainably. Saving our glaciers is a survival strategy for people and the planet.

What can be done about rust, lead and other metals in your water supply?
Rust and oxidisation can be incredibly common in water systems, particularly where pipes are older or there are other systems further up the pipeline that affect the water quality. In a lot of cases, although you can replace the pipes and systems in your house, there’s little that you can do about elements out of your control.
Some might be shocked to learn that levels of lead can still be found in our drinking water. That’s right! High levels of exposure to lead can poison our bodies, with nasty symptoms such as abdominal pain, memory loss, or even miscarriage or premature birth in pregnant women. Copper is the most common heavy metal that appears in tap water. Copper is another essential element to your health, but too much of it can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, and even kidney and liver disease.
So, what’s the solution?
